Today, I took the chance to enjoy some of the sun in the city while doing some shopping. I got a great top at H&M (they still got SALE ;)) for € 5. I was looking for some Chinos like pants but I couldn't find the one I was looking for....well, I guess that means I have to go back to the city tomorrow...and this Frappucino I had was really delicious. It tasted like you just had a bite of a fresh a** peach :) yummy :)

I've been on my semesterbreak for about 6 weeks now and I got 6 more weeks to go :) Since I want to pursue a career in journalism/PR, I sought some opportunities to improve my skills and learn something new. And luckily, I got the chance to apply at a great basketball club and they offered me a great deal. I get to write the articles and press releases on the DEUTSCHE BANK SKYLINERS Juniors which basically is the clubs' (DEUTSCHE BANK SKYLINERS) ProB Team. I started working there yesterday and I already had two marvellous days there, I can say I really enjoy my job. I even got the chance to play a bit of basketball today, come on, son, you gotta love it! Here's a pic of my shirt that I got today- it's official:)

I'm on my semester break right now but I'm not having that much time really since I'm pretty much working everday. I had a day off today, so I took the time today to go shopping with my sister and I had the chance to buy some nice things....of course, I took some pictures :) Tomorrow, I'm off to Frankfurt. You love to watch movies and you are interested in movie makers and production? Well, then there's a great festival going on close to my hometown in Ludwigshafen which is called 'Festival des deutschen Films' taking place from June 16th-June27th,2010 at Parkinsel, Ludwigshafen. There you get the chance to watch German movies and even get to meet the actors and movie makers and talk to them about their movies. Entrance fees are 7,50 € for adults. This is what I first saw, when I arrived on campus this morning. And of course, I'd like to share this with you guys. Since the FIFA soccer world championships 2010 started on Friday, they hooked us up with this screen. That way we get the chance to watch some of the games live on campus (instead of visiting a lecture :P or while having lunch) so we don't miss anything. I really like this and I cant wait to watch some of the games here on campus. I dont know any university that has something dope like that, do you ?

Well, I'm not fancy but I definitely fancy this young gentleman :) A few days before his long anticipated album Thank me later finally drops (June 15th), Drake releases all the songs from his album to increase the hype and anticipation even more. So far we were introduced to songs like Miss me ft. Lil Wayne, Light Up ft. Jay-Z and Fireworks ft. Alicia Keys.

The first time I ever heard of these guys was when I first found I'm Mickey on youtube. Their sound to me was something new and totally fresh, something that hadnt been done yet. So ever since I listened to the stuff they do and I think their sound and the stuff they do is still dope.(Check out the video below)

The Cool Kids is an alternative Hip Hop duo from the U.S. Midwest that consists of Antoine "Mikey Rocks" Reed and Evan "Chuck Inglish" Ingersoll. They released their EP The Bake Sale in 2008 and dropped their latest Mixtape Tacklebox on May 31,2010.

I was happy to hear that since I fell for that song the minute I heard it. And now, it's finally here: the video is starring Keri Hilson. He has been doing it real big for the past let's say sixteen months (if not even longer, but anyways)but it's really about to go down now. Not only has he been releasing songs over the internet constantly for the last couple of weeks (to increase the anticipation- can you stand the excitement? I know I cant) but he has been doing a lot of shows in the states and doing a lot of pre-promo appearances for his album Thank me later that is dropping June 15th. You know we love this guy, so no doubt, we would support him with another blog post spreading the word about his new single with Jeezy called Unforgettable sampling Aaliyah's at your best (R.I.P ,babygirl). I love how he not only uses this song as a sample, but also pays tribute to her and shows the love he has for her. And if you wanna go a bit further, you could see this as a kind of symbol for him doing what he is doing best AND where he's at his best....... Most of you guys have probably seen her for the first time when she appeared on MTV's Super Sweet 16 in 2007. Being a protége of Pharrell Williams, she signed to Star Trak Entertainment in 2007 and her debut single 'Google Me' was released by Star Trak in February 2008. She has her own youtube account where she releases videos every now and then. You can find her own twitter, too, where you can catch her on her live UStreams where she lets her fans know what she has been up to and where she shares her experiences when it comes to friendship and simply her everyday life.

She has now uploaded a video of herself singing Alicia Keys' 'Unthinkable'. I've been a fan of hers ever since I saw her for the first time on TV. She seemed to be a cool, down to earth and very talented young girl. An when I started to hear her sing, I was even more convinced of her talents and liked her even more. So it is only natural that I post this video and share it with you guys. Let me know what you think.

It's 12:28 a.m. over here and I just listened to Johnta's latest single 'close your eyes' on global14.com. Actually, I've listened to that song more than once and it has gotten me to the point where I can't sleep at all. And this really means something. I mean I pretty much love everything Johnta does, but with this one....Wow, I'm at a loss for words. If this is only the beginning of the whole LSR movement, I don't even know where it's gonna take us, but I know it's definitely gonna take us somewhere beyond great ;)

I dont remember when I heard the song for the very first time. All I know is that is has been a while ago, but I immediately fell in love with this song. Not only did Mary J Blige proove once again with this song that she was the queen of Hip Hop/Soul but Johnta's performance on this joint was just perfect. He was the ideal counterpart for Mary J on that song. I still can't think of any person to fit the male part on this song better than Johnta. I mean come on, it takes a strong and dominant voice to keep up with Mary and not just any smooth R&B voice that would sing alone beside her. But today I was surfing on the internet and look what I found on the BET countdown. This beautiful song is now an official single but it has not Johnta on it but the prince of VA himself aka Trey Songz. Unfortunately, I must say that I dont like that version at all. I mean it is still a great song (produced by Brian Michael Cox and written by Johnta Austin) but I dont think Trey has the voice to really support Mary on this song like Johnta did(Dont get it twisted, I love Trey but thats just not his song, but maybe it's just the video version that sucks!??!). I've been waiting impatiently for any link and information to drop but for some reason I couldn't find any of it. That is why I was doing some research today on youtube and there I found a link including the song!!! I love it, I absolutely do. If this should really be the final version, I cant wait for any video to drop (in case there should be one, I'm applying to be a part of it :P ;) ) I don't know if that song has been dropped legally. Seems like this is really the year of R&B coming back in all its variations, from old school, slow jamz kinda R&B to that typical boy group kinda R&B love songs. The other day MISSPROMOBARBIE hit me up and sent me a link of a R&B group called Hamilton Park. So I checked the link and it showed their first song 'Computer love'. I really like the song. Months ago, I found this guy on youtube who was doing some great videos playing the guitar and singing along. I immediately fell for his voice, to me it was something totally new. Not that there has never been a guy playing a guitar singing along. But the new thing about him to me was the WAY he did it, it was something fresh, and something new. Not just sing the song like the original artist did, but he did his own little thing out of it. Today he posted his version of Drake's find your love...and I love it. Check it out!!! The second video is a cover of Drake's A night off/sooner than later (that I like a whole lot as well :)even though he posted that about almost a year ago)

I've been waiting for this impatiently for about two weeks. My sister and I, found out about this pretty late, so we hit the internet and found an agency that was still selling tickets. We found others that said the concert was sold out, and we found some who sold the tickets for about 99 pounds. Luckily, we got the tickets in the mail today.

I proudly announce that me and my sister are gonna see Drake performing live in Paris on July5, 2010. I am so excited; I cannot wait!!!! Better make this sooner than later ;)

I don't even find the words to describe how much I love Johnta's music. I just love it, can't help it. (And it doesn't hurt that he is a handsome man)Anyways. After ((co))- writing numerous hits in the last couple of years like Tyrese's 'sweet lady', Mariah's 'We belong together','Don't forget about us', 'It's like that', 'Shake it off', and Monica's 'Everytime the beat drop' (just to name a few), he has been working on his solo project to. Over the years, he released a couple of singles - 'Turn it up', 'the one that got away', and was featured on a lot of singles, too (Bow Wow 'outta my system', Mary J Blige 'Hood Love'), the album 'ocean drive', however, never was released. As you all know he is a part of the LTL crew and if you have been following them, you already know that Johnta is working on another album by the name of LSR (Love, Sex, Religion) is due this summer. A couple of years ago, my sister introduced me to this up coming artist by the name of Brandon Hines. He had started a Youtube channel called dboyb313 (that channel still exists and videos are being uploaded constantly) where he uploaded videos of himself singing originals (10, Look me in my face). I immediately fell for this guy. I mean look at him, he's kinda cute :P. But back to what it is all about: the music. And once I heard his voice, I fell in love with this guy. He had that soft and mellow voice and that certain 'IT' in his voice- you just couldn't help but replay the videos over and over again. A few weeks ago , videos appeared on the internet showing B.Hines working in the studio with Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox and Johnta Austin. As a matter of fact, J.D has now signed Brandon Hines to So So Def!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

B.Hines recorded a mixtape as a special thank you to his fans (download via http://brandonhinesmusic.com/) and has been in the studio a lot lately. Jermaine Dupri announced today that he will drop Brandon's first single 'In love' this Thursday in Detroit (B's hometown). To get a taste of what it's gonna sound like, watch the following video...

USC Heidelberg says thank you

After an interesting basketball season 2009/2010, Heidelberg's Pro A basketball team took the time to thank its fans and all the people who supported the team throughout the year. They made a little video to show their appreciation. They finished the season at number 11 of the Pro A league. It is going to be interesting to see who is going to come back to play another season in Heidelberg and where they are going next season. Hopefully, they will do a little better than they did this year.

Drake's having fun on UStream

A lot of celebrities have been using UStream for a minute. Especially since twitter has blown up, people everywhere go on live sessions on UStream and invite their friends and fans to watch them online. Drake has been on twitter for a while now, but has not been as active as some of his colleagues may have been, but he is updating his status every now and then to let us know what he is up to. Couple of weeks ago, he started live sessions on UStream from his tour bus and people went crazy. Fortunately, some of the videos were saved, so that all the people who missed his live stream could still watch the video afterwards. It's less than two months until his debut album 'thank me later' drops and people want to know what this album is gonna be about. Drake answered some of the question on his live sessions, and I post some of the vids for you guys.

XXL is one of THE magazines when it comes to Hip Hop& Rap. They provide you with all the news and buzz on your favorite artists, new videos and upcoming singles. One they dropped only a few hours ago, is a song called 'made' by two of the hottest artists known as Big Sean (representing G.O.O.D Music) and Drake (representing Young Money). So far both of them have been dropping a lot of mix tapes, but neither of them released an album. But their both due this year. Drake's album 'Thank me later' will drop June 15th, Big Sean's debut album is slated for release in late 2010.

Lately, there's been a lot of buzz about Pharrell Williams going on. Unfortunately, there were more people talking about his style and latest hair-do, rather than talking about his musical creativity and production progress. Now he is back again, finally! It's been way too long since he and his buddys (Chad & Shae), forming the famous alternative group N.E.R.D, have been gone. But now they are back with a brand new single off of their new album 'Nothing' due June 15th which is called 'Hot&fun' featuring Nelly Furtado.

When it comes to Pharrell working as a producer for his production project known as 'The Neptunes', he has been very creative lately, too. You can see his latest work on Lupe Fiasco's song called 'I'm beaming'.

Drei Tage lang kämpften 16 Teams um eine gute Ausgangsposition für die am 7.und 8.April statt findende Zwischenrunde. Der Startschuss fiel am Samstag in beiden Spielstätten um 12.00 Uhr mit den Partien Italien- Neuseeland (MWS Halle) und Spanien-Israel (US Sports Arena). Spieltag eins sollte vor allen Dingen für die beiden deutschen Mannschaften (U17, U18) erfolgreichen ausgehen, da sie mit China und Japan, jeweils einfache Gegner erwischt hatten. Spannender versprach es hingegen in der US Sports Arena zu werden: nicht nur weil dort um 19.00 Uhr die Opening Ceremony stattfinden würde, sondern weil dort, neben den Partien Argentinien-Frankreich und Australien- Griechenland, die USA gegen Kroatien spielen würden.

Unwissenheit, Anspannung und Vorfreude liegen in der Luft als man die Mannheimer MWS Halle betrat. Die Vorbereitungen zum Turnierbeginn am Samstag sind in vollem Gange. So stehen bereits die Container auf dem Parkplatz, die dem DBB als Boxoffice und Verwaltungsbüro während des Turniers dienen. Plakate an allen Türen lassen jeden Besucher wissen, dass das wohl bekannteste Basketball-Nachwuchsturnier in den Startlöchern steht. Auch die Halle ist auf Vordermann gebracht. Die Tribünen sind ausgefahren und die Türen der Umkleidekabinen tragen bereits die Schilder der jeweiligen Teams.

19.00 Uhr: Nachdem das japanische Team sein Training beendet hat, können nun beide Teams endlich das Spielfeld betreten und sich ’’warm’’ werfen. Sofort fällt bei den Australiern, ein bekanntes Gesicht auf: Hugh Greenwood. Bereits 2008 nahm der am Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) spielende Australier am AST teil und verhalf seinem Team zum Sieg über das Team der USA und somit zur Bronzemedaille. Auch im deutschen Kader sind viele bekannte Gesichter dabei: neben dem gebürtigen Mannheimer Kevin Bright, der neben Philip Neumann und Patrick Heckmann, für dieses Spiel noch geschont wurde, waren auch Mathis Mönninghoff und Falko Theilig von der Partie. Das Spiel startete zunächst sehr stark seitens der Australier. Doch die DBB-Korbjäger ließen sich davon nicht beeindrucken und hielten gegen die robuste Gangart der Gäste an. Doch nach dem punktereichen ersten Viertel (19:15), folgte ein unruhiges zweites Viertel, in dem beide Mannschaften auf Grund unnötiger Ballverluste und Unsicherheit, nur wenig Punkte erzielen konnten. Nachdem zwischenzeitlich die Australier durch einen drei Punkte Wurf den Ausgleich zum 23:23 erzielten, schafften es die DBB- Junioren sich mit 29:26 in die Halbzeit zu verabschieden. Es waren vor allen Dingen Bill Borekambi und Martin Breunig, die die deutsche Mannschaft nach der Halbzeit sicher in Richtung Sieg brachten und die Deutschen somit das erste Vorbereitungsspiel sicher mit 65:50 gewannen. Auch wenn dies nur ein Trainingsspiel war, so lässt es doch hoffen, dass die Mannschaft im Turnier eine ähnliche Leistung abrufen können wird und den Sprung in die Top 8 tatsächlich schafft. Vorbereitungsspiele DBB U18 Nationalmannschaft- AST 2010

Zum 25. Mal findet vom 03.-10.April 2010 das Albert-Schweitzer-Turnier in Mannheim statt. Junge Basketballtalente und Stars von Morgen aus allen Teilen der Welt kommen zusammen, um bei der inoffiziellen U18- Basketball-WM um den begehrten Turniersieg zu kämpfen. Insgesamt besteht das Teilnehmerfeld aus 16 Nationen, darunter auch Brasilien und Japan, die zum ersten Mal am Traditionsturnier in Mannheim teilnehmen. Um die Vorfreude und Spannung bei den Fans im Voraus zu erhöhen, finden vom 30.03.-01.04.2010 drei Vorbereitungsspiele der DBB U18 Mannschaft statt.

Der Startschuss fällt am 30.03.2010 in der Mannheimer MWS Halle, um 19.30 Uhr, wo die U18 Korbjäger mit Australien auf einen AST erfahrenen Gegner treffen, der beim letzten AST überraschend die Amerikaner im Halbfinale bezwang und somit den dritten Platz belegte. Weiter geht es dann am 31.03.2010 ebenfalls in der Mannheimer MWS Halle um 19.30 Uhr. Hier kommt es zum direkten Leistungsvergleich beider deutscher Mannschaften. Beim diesjährigen AST startet Deutschland sowohl mit der U18 als auch mit der U17 Nationalmannschaft. Besonders für letztere ist dieses Turnier die ideale Möglichkeit zu sehen, wie man sich im internationalen Vergleich schlägt, denn ab Juli nehmen die DBB-Korbjäger an der ersten U17 Weltmeisterschaft in Hamburg statt. Abgeschlossen wird die Testreihe durch das Freundschaftsspiel der beiden Gastgeber (Deutschland &USA) am 01.April 2010 um 20 Uhr in der US Sports Arena auf dem Gelände der Benjamin- Franklin- Village in Mannheim- Käfertal.
